A glimpse into Amansahatov's work.

Analytical Modernism

Berdiguly Amansahatov sees life, joy and movement in nature. Being enthusiastic about the beauty of nature, the artist replenishes his spiritual strengths, draws inspiration. This delight turns him into an artist-thinker.

A peculiar “conception of the universe”, which traces many stable features of the ancient ideology, is reflected in the picturesque canvases of B. Amansahatov. The artist perceives the world and mundane life as a reflection of the “true”, “supernatural”, cosmic principle. B. Amansahatov is interested not just in color, shape, structure, image of details, but in their symbolic meaning, not in the object-spatial world, but in the reflection of its feelings, not in the image of nature, but in the thinking about it.

For B. Amansahatov world of art is a mystery. Therefore, there are no straightforward decisions in his paintings. The artist is more interested in symbolic images preserved in folk art like carpet, embroidery, jewelry, which are saturated with cosmogonic associations, thoughts about space, time, people, animals, plants.

The immutable mythological code passed from generation to generation allows to decipher the content of his works. The connection between the earthly and the heavenly is found mainly in his symbolic images, in which the universal cult of the Great Mother, the “World Tree”, “Tree of Life”, peace-making birds, common in the art of the ancient world, appear in the artist’s art.
